Trinibad versus Gender-based Violence
Here at in8 Talent Management, we love women! That's why we've embarked on a project to advocate against violence towards women and girls. We like doing projects with vibes, and there is nobody with more vibes right now than a Dancehall/Trinibad artist and their team. If this is you, then we need your help. Register now by scrolling down to the form or read on for some more info.
Trinibad vs Gender-based Violence (TvG) is a brief and engaging training session aimed at empowering male Trinidad and Tobago dancehall artists with information and resources that can help foster a culture of support for female victims of violence.
We believe that projects of this nature ought to include you and that your opinions and thoughts are important. Male Trinibad artists are a beacon of masculinity for Caribbean Youth with music that impacts the lives of individuals from all classes and backgrounds. We aim to give you an opportunity to share thoughts on the topic and propose solutions. It will not be a preachy session. It will entail the sharing of information, perspectives and discussion.
This project is a product of the Spotlight Male Leaders Training Programme by The University of the West Indies Institute for Gender and Development Studies (IGDS) and The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). This session will last 1 hour on the 7th of March 2022. We're not sure how many training sessions happen at a bar in town (Port-of-Spain), but this one does thanks to D' Bocas. We'll be joined by the magnificent Delicia Patterson of DIMEDIA adding a woman's experience and perspective to the conversation.
Are you a male Trinibad or Dancehall artist? Do you want to show your support for women in the fight against violence towards women and girls? The join us!
